Mashreq University is the first university in the Middle East to offer the B.Sc. (Hons) in AI

Artificial intelligence (AI), sometimes called machine intelligence, is intelligence demonstrated by machines, in contrast to the natural intelligence displayed by humans and other animals. In computer science AI research is defined as the study of "intelligent agents": any device that perceives its environment and takes actions that maximize its chance of successfully achieving its goals. Colloquially, the term "artificial intelligence" is applied when a machine mimics "cognitive" functions that humans associate with other human minds, such as "learning" and "problem solving
Artificial intelligence has made its way into a number of areas, such as Healthcare, Business, Education, Finance, Law, and Manufacturing. Not only that, but AI is also incorporated into a variety of different types of technology, form Automation, Machine learning, and Machine vision to Natural language processing and Robotics.

To cope with the current Revolution in Artificial Intelligence, Mashreq University has introduced program of B.Sc. (Hons) in Artificial Intelligence as the first university in Sudan and the Middle East to offer this program.
